Biography
For the past 28 years Dr. Forrester has been a practicing pulmonologist, sleep specialist, and intensivist in the Denver metro area. 26 years ago, he founded Critical Care and Pulmonary Consultants, P.C., which has provided intensivist, pulmonary, sleep, and hospitalist services to five hospitals, two long term acute hospitalists, and Spalding Rehabilitation hospitals in the Denver Metro area. Dr. Forrester was the managing partner and CEO from 1995 until stepping down in June of 2021.
Dr. Forrester is originally from southern Michigan and received his medical degree from Wayne State Medical school, Internal medicine training at the University of Michigan, and Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship at the University of Colorado Health Science Center. He spent 2 years of active-duty military service as a general medical officer in the Navy from 1983-1985 and an additional 2 years, from 1991-1993, as a Naval Pulmonary/Intensivist at Bethesda Naval Hospital and the Uniformed Services Medical School.
Dr. Forrester enjoys all aspects of pulmonary medicine including caring for patients with COPD, Asthma, interstitial lung disease, lung cancer, and sleep disorders.
Dr. Forrester and his wife have two sons who are surgeons currently working on the west coast. He enjoys reading, skiing, cycling, hiking and spending time with his family. He is looking forward to providing pulmonary and sleep medical care to the Vail Valley community.
