Dr. Gerhold received his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School. He continued his education at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and the Veteran Affairs Medical Center, where he completed his nuclear medicine fellowship. Dr. Gerhold is the director of positron emission tomography (PET) at the Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers in Colorado and has contributed to and authored various articles about PET imaging. Dr. Gerhold specializes in diagnostic radiology, nuclear medicine and PET imaging and is board certified by the American Board of Radiology.  He is also a member of the American College of Radiology, the Colorado Medical Society, the Radiological Society of North America, the Society of Computer Applications in Radiology and the Society of Nuclear Medicine.
