Biologics Coordinator

About the opportunity:

Responsible for ensuring proper billing procedures for biologics are followed according to Vail Health guidelines.  Oversees billing process and maintains compliance with insurance guidelines.  Work closely with personnel in the allergy department as well as the business office to support effective communication and streamlining functions related to biologics billing.

 
What you will do:
    1. Accurately review biologics charges and management of biologics for the organization.
    2. Provide general oversight and execution of the prior authorization process as well as re-certification.
    3. Work closely with applicable team members and physicians to ensure all biologics billing is entered according to guidelines.
    4. Efficiently obtain information from billing, leadership, and insurance companies to identify changes in billing guidelines and communicate changes.
    5. Become well versed on biologics billing and familiarize with different insurance payers’ limitations, exclusions, or other restrictions.
    6. Assist in educating practice on relevant programs.
    7. Identify issues and communicate those issues to the team and leadership.
    8. Role models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.
    9. Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.

Experience:
  • 1 year experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Computer / Typing:
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
 
Education:
  • High school diploma or GED

Pay is based upon relevant education and experience per hour.

Hourly Pay:
$22$28.39 USD
