Manager- Specialty Care

This position is responsible for oversight of clinic operations and supervision of all staff in designated location and/or area of focus. They will be responsible for a full range of management functions, development and implementation of standard work, planning and strategy execution, department oversight, budget, training, coaching, and staffing. The Manager will provide direction and supervision of staff at a specific location and/or clinical area. Serving as the primary point of contact for physicians and supporting Supervisors and Leads in management of staff. Assists director(s) to design and implement business strategies to help the clinics meet organizational goals. The Manager will work in partnership with the UC Manager.
- Provides oversight of staff development and ensures all training needs are met. Provides leadership and direction to the team, including onboarding, training, reviews, performance management, delegating, and distributing job assignments, and maintaining a positive and professional work environment. This includes onboarding and training for new Provider’s hired into their location and area.
- Develop, implement, and iterate standard work to ensure all members of the team understand the roles and responsibilities within their role and their team members’ roles.
- Works as much as possible in-patient care areas to be present, address problems as they come up, and support the needs of the care delivery team.
- Ensures staff follows departmental policies and procedures, objectives, OSHA Rules and Regulations, HIPAA practices, and environmental and infection control standards.
- Direct supervision of Supervisors, Leads and staff members for staffing needs and management of PTO, sick, etc. requests. Coordinates staff schedule according to business demand. Will be responsible for rotated call shifts on weekends with other Managers, Supervisors and Leads.
- Actively engage in tracking patient satisfaction goals, and initial education and training for all staff.
- Works with Supervisors to plan and manage the clinic's budget and approve payroll.
- Receives, investigates, and resolves complaints.
- Meets with staff regularly to review and address protocols and facilitate concern/problem resolution.
- Maintains supplies by conducting inventory, ordering/receiving/distributing supplies accordingly or directing these activities.
- Ensures medical equipment is in good working order/condition and coordinates repair/replacement as needed with Director.
- Ensure their area is compliant with Vail Health policy and procedures and investigate safety reports as assigned.
- Assists staff and providers as needed.
- Conducts staff meetings, providing updates as applicable.
- Role models the principals of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.
- Three (3) years experience in clinic operations, hospital operations, quality improvement or equivalent required.
- Two (2) years experience in leadership preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of industry and industry-related trends and forecasts.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical equipment, HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules and regulations required.

Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) by American Medical Technologist (AMT)
- National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) by the National Center for Competency Testing
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) by the National Healthcare Association
- Medical Assistant Certification (MAC) by the American Medical Certification Association
- Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant by the National Association for Health Professionals
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.

Pay is based upon relevant education and experience per year.
