This position is a hybrid role. 
 
About the opportunity:

The Network Engineer is responsible for managing and monitoring daily operations to maintain high-availability network environment for a 24/7/265 rural hospital. Some of these duties include scheduling and performing maintenance events, patching, upgrades and system backups.

What you will do:
  1. Troubleshoot and address network performance issues including LAN/WAN, SD-WAN and Wifi for 15 locations.
  2. Help manage and maintain Vail Health’s Active Directory.
  3. Help manage and support the PBX and Call Manager systems.
  4. Act as escalation point for other IT staff to help resolve computer and network issues.
  5. Conduct scheduled maintenance and enhancements to the network platform.
  6. Create and maintain network support documentation.
  7. Provide 24 x 7 production support on a rotating basis.
  8. Provide onsite support when needed. Approximately 20% of schedule.
  9. Role models the principles of a Just Culture.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.

What you will need:
 
Experience:
  • 5 years of related experience required.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Experience with Cisco ACI, Stealthwatch, ISE and WLC’s preferred.
  • Experience with Solarwinds and Rapid7 preferred.
  • Experience with Vcenter, VMWare, VDI and Group Policy preferred.
  • Experience with MS Azure and Cloud migration strategies preferred. Experience with data back up and recovery strategies preferred.
License(s):
  • N/A
Certification(s):
  • Microsoft and Cisco certifications preferred.
Computer / Typing:
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc. Must have aptitude for understanding computer software and hardware. Must have the ability to instruct and teach others in software-related topics.
Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.

Pay is based upon relevant education and experience per year.
