Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Prepares, positions, and scans patients for Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT exams. Prepares and administers radioactive isotopes, and operates Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT imaging equipment.
- Performs high quality Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT imaging exams utilizing ACR guidelines to obtain the desired diagnostic patient information for the Radiologist.
- Complies with the State of Colorado guidelines for radiation safe practice in the handling of radiopharmaceuticals.
- Performs quality control procedures to ensure optimal performance of all Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT, and radiation hot lab equipment.
- Practices safe handling of radioactive materials according to State of Colorado regulations to ensure minimal radiation exposure to self and others.
- Performs record keeping, customer service functions, and communicates feedback in order to ensure goals of the department are met and operation runs efficiently.
- Participates in various teaching and/or learning opportunities in order to further knowledge and to assist in expanding the knowledge of others.
- Maintains constructive collaborative communication with patients, patient's family, physicians, co- workers, and other members of the health care team to contribute to continuity of care.
- Role models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.

- One to two years of Nuclear Medicine experience required.

- Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board OR American Registry of Radiologic Technologist with a Nuclear specialty (ARRT (N)) required.
- Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.

Pay is based upon relevant education and experience per hour.
